Poison Ivy

Poison ivy (Toxicodendron radicans) is a poisonous North American plant that is well known for its production of urushiol, a clear liquid compound, that causes an itching, or sometimes painful rash in most people who touch it. This infamously famous plant has its human personification known as Poison Ivy or Pamela Lillian Isley.

Poison Ivy is a fictional character – an enemy of Batman (yeah, we are talking about the Dark Knight) who is obsessed with plants, botany, environmentalism and toxins from plants she uses for her criminal activities. This “lovely” comics character was an inspirational source for this illustration.
